The Moon Watches The Climb’ is part of Too Tired project curated by Executive Director by Kelly Burgess alongside several beautiful works from around the world!
Too Tired Project is a global movement using the power of photography to reshape how the world understands mental health. Rooted in the belief that diverse voices are essential to genuine healing, the project uplifts photographers from every background, creating space for honest stories that reflect the full range of human experience. Through exhibitions, online platforms, and a vibrant international community, they transform personal narratives into collective understanding, breaking stigma and fostering connection.
The artwork selected is part of my series “Photography Will Kill You” which attemps to capture the fragile balance between vulnerability, endurance and creative expression, confronting the emotional and physical strain that often remains hidden within the act of making art. The series is born out of the quiet labour, fear and persistence that shape the creative process; experiences that echo the complex realities of mental health. Through the lens of personal trauma, migration, mythology and the repetitive cycles of artistic effort, the work is a testament to the resilience we each carry: the strength to keep going, to rebuild and to find meaning in the necessary failure inherent in making.
